A Consecutive Set of Governance Proposals in DeFi Space Over a Week

DeFi Giant Blur's Defi News
  • The newer governance proposals announced by Lido, Uniswap, and Maker.
  • Glassnode reported a stabilized market capitalization of tokens in the DeFi space.

The last seven days remarked a quiet stability in the market capitalization of Lido (LDO), Uniswap (UNI), and Maker (MKR), these are all within the DeFi space. The governance proposals of these DeFi spaces are significant and certain details regarding them are explained in this article.

Last Week’s Updates

Concerning the Lido V2 launch as an upgrade, the LidoDAO surpassed the governance proposal on Monday. This launch supports withdrawals in stake and a staking router. Meanwhile, this leads to a permissionless registration with Lido. As per the Glassnode, staked Ethereum (ETH) price remained flat whereas LDO kept surging and reported a marginal growth.

Nextly, MakerDAO has launched Lending Protocol Spark followed by a new proposal restructuring the architecture. However, the last year announced on the Endgame roadmap about MetaDAOs for farming their own tokens with their governance structure. The specific governance proceeds a new arrival of Stablecoin and a governance token.

Thereby,  the demand for the stablecoins might predominantly reduce the demand when DAI and MKR holders upgrade to the newer tokens. The upcoming stablecoin is to produce 10M in a new governance token and 35M in a subDAO token on a yearly basis.

Another DeFi protocol named Uniswap is yet to implement a protocol fee, noted in its governance proposal. Furthermore, the detail includes a projection of gathering $52M in half a year which is 1/5th of the pool fee. Meanwhile, the fees stored would be exchanged with an asset declared UNI community. Majorly, the intention of setting a fee is to manage and distribute the revenue generated with the treasury.

All of these governance proposals are highlighted with the price surge of the particular altcoin related to it as per the Glassnode. This exceeds the present implications leading to the futuristic decisions of these DeFi protocols in the decentralized space.
