The Theta Network officially announces the release of Mainnet 3.0 node to enable Theta 3.0 features. The launch will perform on 12pm Wednesday June 30, 2021 PT.
Accordingly, it is mandatory for the users to update their node to sync after the hardfork height. The updates for the theta edge node and theta wallet will be prepared for Mainnet launch on June 30.
Theta Mainnet 3.0 Launch
The launch of Theta Mainnet 3.0 introduces TFuel Staking & Uptime Mining for the users. The key protocol for releasing Theta Mainnet is very beneficial. Firstly, the Elite Edge Nodes will burn at least 25% of each TFUEL payment to the network. Secondly, the network transaction fees and smart contract fees are also burned. To be noted, the current fees on Theta network is near zero.
