Last week, the Thai Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) announced the opening of “Crypto Academy.” An initiative to make available educational materials and training programmes on cryptocurrency and related topics. The regulator said that the program’s goal is to educate the public about digital assets and blockchain technology. So that people can make informed investing decisions.
Four different courses may be taken at the SEC Crypto Academy right now. The first is an introduction to cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology designed to help novice investors get their feet wet. In the second course, you’ll learn about the fundamental concepts and underlying technologies of cryptocurrency. Additionally discussed are concepts like bitcoin, decentralization, and P2P networks.
Enter the Realm of Digitial Assets
Important historical, current, and future crypto events, such as the halving of Bitcoin’s supply and prior price collapses, are discussed in the third. Additionally, the token economy, NFTs, the metaverse, and the future of the cryptocurrency market are discussed.
Topics covered in the fourth training session include asset management, basic price analysis based on charts and other indications, investor sentiment, and diversification techniques. The SEC Crypto Academy also provides a self-assessment called Crypto Quotient (CQ) for investors to use in determining whether or not they are prepared to enter the realm of digital assets.
Thailand’s Minister of Finance Arkhom Termpittayapaisith laid out the country’s intentions to crack down on cryptocurrencies in August. According to the SEC’s general counsel, “the extreme volatility of digital-asset prices has spurred the urgent need for improved supervision,” as he put it in a July speech.
