  • The new AI program will attempt to create thorough replies when given basic cues.

Google has released Bard, its ChatGPT rival, available to early testers in preparation for a full release in the coming weeks. Similar to how OpenAI’s newest program has become an internet hit, the corporation has announced the launching of its own artificial intelligence chatbot.

According to Bloomberg, the corporation has made its “new conversational AI service, called Bard” accessible to “trusted testers” before its general rollout. There has been no announcement about its official release date as of yet.

AI Race Officially Begun

With the introduction of Google’s ChatGPT rival to early testers, the AI arms race has officially begun. It’s a chatbot, much like the one OpenAI created. They want to achieve the same practical effect. Bard will attempt to create thorough replies when given basic cues.  After ChatGPT’s sudden climb to prominence, it was only a matter of time before other tech giants attempted to follow in its footsteps.

Alphabet CEO, Sundar Pichai discussed the testing phase in a blog post announcing the development. The testing phase will help it learn more and speed up the development of Bard. Google’s LaMDA language model will serve as the engine for the software.

Pichai stated:

“We’ll combine external feedback with our own internal testing to make sure Bard’s responses meet a high bar of quality, safety, and groundedness in real-world information.”

According to a Google spokesman, the chosen testers were geographically varied groups of individuals outside the firm who will help it better understand how normal customers would face AI service in everyday life.
