Nike, the footwear giant, is releasing its first NFT drop on the .Swoosh Web3 community platform debuted a few months ago. Our Force 1 (OF1) is a capsule collection of Polygon virtual sneakers NFTs paying homage to the Nike Air Force 1 from 41 years ago.
The drop will include two distinct kinds of virtual sneakers. The Classic Remix boxes, which include digital iterations of Air Force 1 style from the years 1982 to 2006. And the New Wave boxes, which showcase digital iterations of Air Force 1 style from the years 2007 and after.
Crypto Not Accepted For the NFTs
In addition to the standard AF1, Classic Remix will also include a random assortment of modified AF1s with a “nostalgic twist.” Similarly, New Wave boxes will share the shelves with unique, expressive AF1s that have a “futuristic twist.”
In celebration of Air Force 1’s release year (1982), the price of each digital sneaker box will be $19.82 USD. Nike will not take cryptocurrencies for the NFTs.
It would seem that there is no hard limit on the total supply of Our Force 1 NFTs that may be created. To get an OF1 box NFT, Nike will start airdropping virtual AF1 posters to lucky winners tomorrow to .Swoosh members.
On May 8, those participants will be allowed to begin minting OF1 boxes. The entire .Swoosh community will be able to acquire OF1 boxes beginning on May 10th, only two days later.
Nike claims that there are more than 330,000 active .Swoosh members. Free of charge, anybody may join the network. It seems that the specifics of which virtual shoes enthusiastic holders would get have been kept deliberately ambiguous.
