LG Launches Hedera Blockchain For Television NFTs

LG Launches Hedera Blockchain For Television NFTs NFT News
  • With LG’s most recent software, they may purchase, market, and advertise Hedera NFTs.
  • LG Art Lab will only work with LG TVs.

The LG Art Lab, a non-fungible token (NFT) marketplace that connects to the Hedera Network and is situated in Korea, is being launched by LG. Television owners with sets upgraded to LG’s most recent software will be able to buy, sell and promote their Hedera NFTs from their screens.

Following Samsung’s introduction of an NFT marketplace on three of its TVs, all enabled by Nifty Gateway, LG has made steps into the NFT sector. Only LG TVs will support LG Art Lab. Users can buy assets by scanning a QR code to connect their wallets using LG’s mobile cryptocurrency wallet Wallypto.

In 2020, LG Electronics joined the Hedera governing council, which also includes Google, IBM, Deutsche Telekom, the Indian Institute of Technology, and other organizations. This marked the beginning of the relationship between Hedera and LG Electronics.

IT and entertainment firms in South Korea are investing heavily in the non-fungible token (NFT) market. In January, LG competitor Samsung presented its smart TV-based new NFT marketplace concept. Furthermore, Samsung announced that it would include NFT functions on TVs such as the MICRO LED and Neo QLED.
