The first international boutique hotel group to accept cryptocurrencies is the Pavilions Hotels & Resorts, a luxury hotel group. Payments over cryptocurrency will be available for direct bookings through each hotel’s reservation center from July 7.

Moreover, cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin (BTC) took a step closer to the mainstream this month. When the Pavilions Hotels & Resorts became the first international boutique hotel group to accept cryptocurrencies, from various countries for hotel bookings.

Henceforth, Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and other 40 cryptocurrencies are now accepted by the hotel group for payments. The Pavilions Hotels & Resorts is partnering with Coindirect, the global crypto-payment gateway through direct bookings.

More so, the CEO and co-founder of Coindirect, Jesse Hemson-Struthers stated,

“We pride ourselves on providing partners a platform for instant secure payments with over 40cryptocurrencies.”

Also added, “This was a critical factor for The Pavilions Hotels and Resorts to ensure end-to-end payment service is safe, flexible and easy for guests when booking their next experience at any of The Pavilions Hotels and Resorts across the globe”.

Accordingly, customers will be able to take advantage of paying in the cryptocurrency according to their choice. Also, the Pavilions Residences is available for sales at the group’s Phuket and Niseko resorts, it also accepts cryptocurrencies for sales of property.

Furthermore, there was another exciting announcement by The Pavilions Hotels and Resorts group, expanding its portfolio to 14 locations globally. Most recently The Pavilions Anana Krabi, and The Pavilions El Nido, Palawan Island, this will join properties in Phuket, Bali, Himalayas, Mongolia and Niseko in Asia, and Amsterdam, Madrid, Lisbon and Rome in Europe.
