During Tesla Germany’s maiden delivery event announcement, the company said that Elon Musk would come. For the most part, though, Musk has confirmed that he will be present. Hildegard Müller, President of the German Automotive Industry Association (VDA), reiterated Wissing’s remarks and urged German automakers not to “hide” from Tesla. The VDA President also said that Germany’s research and development efforts in the EV car sector would be a success storey and assist define worldwide vehicle standards.
