Coinbase Wallet Now Supports Polygon zkEVM

zkEVM Exchange News
  • Coinbase Wallet supporting Polygon zkEVM from today.
  • ‘Wallet as a Service’ business initiated by Coinbase – for customization.

On March 27, Polygon launched zkEVM Mainnet Beta, enabling their first transaction done by Ethereum’s co-founder sending 0.005 ETH. Earlier today, Polygon zkEVM is supported on one of the Coinbase products, Coinbase Wallet.

Polygon zkEVM, a platform enabling Web 3.0 through Ethereum-compatible blockchain. To be said, it is a combination of zero-knowledge proofs (ZKP) and Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) – with blockchain security solutions. Coinbase being the EVM-compatible software wallet supports Polygon.

Polygon zkEVM Expands More

Regardless of Coinbase Wallet, others like QuickNode, a Web3 infrastructure platform joined hands supporting Polygon zkEVM. On the line, Aave, the decentralized lending protocol is about to deploy on Polygon zkEVM.

Furthermore, Polygon aims to confirm that the Polygon zkEVM Mainnet Beta is EVM-equivalent. This conveys that the EVM-equivalence is ‘truly frictionless scaling’ for compatibility and to deploy Ethereum smart contracts.

Polygon, being the leading Web3 infrastructure provider, expects to boost Web3 adoption with constraints. And the constraints include lesser transaction charges, enhanced network efficiency along with provided scalability.
In this meantime, firms like Coinbase supporting the growth of zkEVM is substantially expressive. Similarly, ‘Wallet as a Service‘, started by Coinbase on March 8, allows companies to customize blockchain wallets. This brought the upcoming hundred million customers into Web3 through a seamless wallet, Coinbase said.

Also, Coinbase started building their blockchain network called ‘Base‘, Ethereum’s layer-2 network. Base includes several partners who have contributed to building the ecosystem and providing support. This marks a forward move with regard to decentralization.
