BNB Chain has made significant advancements by onboarding subsequent billion users into the Web3 arena. The BNB Chain developer announced on December 22 that the total number of unique addresses on the BNB Chain has overtaken Ethereum.

The Binance network’s extensive possibilities drew multiple interesting DeFi, GameFi, and SocialFi projects, that picked BNB Chain to launch. According to the report, BNB Chain beats Ethereum in terms of the number of unique addresses, which surpassed to 233 million mark, while Ethereum has over 217 million unique addresses

Also, the ecosystem stated that “BNB Chain is the largest layer 1 blockchain in the world”. In October, the number of daily active users peaked at 2.2 million. Further, the BNB network’s transaction volume hit a record-breaking high of 9.8 million in May 2022.

BNB Chain’s successful Roadmap in 2022

The BNB Chain’s achievement in 2022 is attributed to several new projects. However, the introduction of BNB Sidechain and zkBNB Testnet has revolutionized the industry by enabling developers the capacity, speed, and security to create decentralized applications (dApps) with significant user bases.

Further, BNB Chain launched some support programs, including the Builder Grant and the $10 Million Gas Fee Bonus for dApp developers. That assisted them in the creation of Web3 Dapps for the BNB Chain and increased user engagement.

A further advancement was the introduction of “Soulbound Tokens” (SBTs), non-transferable tokens that use blockchain technology to represent a user’s identity, which boosted BNB Chain’s position in the NFT and GameFi industries. Also, the network in DeFi continues to expand, with a TVL of $7.6 billion in just Q3.

Moreover, BNB Chain added 23 validators this year and intends to add 60 more in the upcoming months. The validators would help to decentralize the BNB Chain from its previous state.
