Along with the Lava Foundation and Bretagne Holding Limited (BHL), AEREDIUM, a blockchain infrastructure firm developing the security and settlement layer for tokenized assets, announced today that it has joined the Lava Tokenization Sandbox. Using Alba Bay, a massive master-planned development in the Dominican Republic, as a real-world innovation framework to assess future infrastructure models, the companies will collaborate to investigate how tokenized asset infrastructure may interact with both traditional and digital financial systems.
One issue that is impeding institutional adoption of real-world asset (RWA) tokenization is payments and settlement. Making a token is not that difficult. One of the largest infrastructural gaps in the sector is the ability for investors to buy tokenized assets using the currency and payment mechanism they already own, while enabling developers to get safe, compliant settlement without having to manage disjointed digital asset treasuries.
The goal of the cooperative sandbox initiative was to investigate how developing technology may someday be used to solve these issues. Using Alba Bay as one of many reference settings for assessing future infrastructure models, participants are investigating possible real-world applications as part of the effort. In contrast to traditional tokenization pilots, the sandbox allows participants to test tokenization, payments, and settlement in real-world settings instead of isolated blockchain environments since it is based on an actual, capital-backed enterprise.
AEREDIUM is testing payment-agnostic settlement technology in the sandbox, which is intended to streamline the acquisition of tokenized real estate while eliminating operational complexity for developers.
Every collaborator adds a unique aspect to the project. In addition to offering development knowledge, Bretagne Holding Limited offers a practical project framework that can be used to assess future innovation models.
The decentralized RPC and API architecture that enables blockchain communication without a single point of failure is provided by Lava Network.
Future market players may engage with tokenized asset infrastructure via a variety of payment mechanisms, including as bank transfers, payment cards, stablecoins, or digital assets across many blockchain networks, thanks to AEREDIUM’s payment and settlement infrastructure.
The platform provides a single, safe, and auditable transaction across blockchain networks, financial systems, and enterprise platforms by converting the buyer’s payment into the asset the developer chooses to receive via atomic settlement.
This eliminates one of the main operational obstacles to tokenized asset adoption for developers. Developers obtain clean settlement while preserving a traceable payment trail and lowering the operational and regulatory complexity related to taking payments for digital assets, as opposed to managing fragmented treasuries across many chains and digital assets.
Beyond settlement, AEREDIUM’s architecture integrates atomic settlement, verifiable payment trails, proof-of-reserve verification, and institutional-grade cryptographic security into a single platform for tokenized assets.
Three U.S. patent applications covering essential elements of the company’s security architecture, including its patent-pending AER, have been submitted. TRUSTCORE, a post-quantum security architecture intended to fortify future digital asset infrastructure, is being developed by key technologies.
“We joined the sandbox to solve one of the biggest obstacles preventing tokenized assets from reaching institutional adoption: payments,” said Albert Dadon, Founder and CEO of AEREDIUM. “A buyer should be able to pay with any currency, on any rail, while the developer receives secure, auditable settlement in the asset they choose. Developers shouldn’t have to manage fragmented treasuries or carry the compliance burden that comes with accepting multiple digital assets. That’s exactly what we’re testing through this initiative.”
“At BHL, we believe emerging technologies will continue transforming how large-scale development projects are financed and accessed globally. Through this exploratory initiative, we are interested in understanding how future innovation may improve efficiency, transparency, and accessibility within the broader real estate ecosystem,” said Yossi Abadi, Partner and CEO at Bretagne Holding Limited.
“Tokenized assets are only as reliable as the infrastructure beneath them,” said Nimrod Knoller, Head of Foundation at Lava Foundation. “By combining decentralized infrastructure, settlement innovation, and real-world development perspectives, we are exploring what future institutional-grade digital asset infrastructure may look like.”
The initiative, according to the partners, is the next stage of RWA adoption. The next generation of tokenization will rely on infrastructure that makes tokenized assets as simple to purchase, pay for, and settle as conventional financial products, while the previous generation concentrated on getting assets onchain.
AEREDIUM seeks to show how payment-agnostic settlement may eliminate one of the last infrastructural obstacles to institutional-scale adoption of real-world assets via the Lava Tokenization Sandbox, which is run by the Lava Foundation and BHL.
According to the partners, the initiative changes the focus of the RWA discussion from token issuance to the infrastructure that true ownership really requires, such as safe settlement, traceable payments, and a purchasing experience that uses people’s existing funds.
The main purpose of this experimental initiative is to assess possible future infrastructure paradigms and technical compatibility. As of right now, this partnership is not launching any formal tokenization structure, token issuance, public offering, or sale of shares.
Alba Bay is a master-planned real estate development in the Dominican Republic that is around 40 million square meters in size and was created by Bretagne Holding Limited. A multibillion-dollar development project intended to provide long-term economic growth and investment possibilities in the area is part of the company’s larger ambition.
For blockchain applications, Lava Network offers decentralized RPC and API architecture that enables dependable, censorship-resistant communication across many blockchain ecosystems without a single point of failure. Developers, businesses, and blockchain ecosystems including Fireblocks, NEAR, Arbitrum, and Starknet are supported by its infrastructure.
Aeredium is a blockchain infrastructure firm that develops tokenized asset security and settlement. Its solution connects blockchain networks, financial systems, and corporate platforms by combining atomic settlement, verifiable payment trails, proof-of-reserve verification, and institutional-grade cryptographic security.
