Openstory, a prominent data streaming platform for on-chain data and analytics, has been acquired by Ava Protocol in a strategic move. As it works on growing its elite staff, Ava Protocol, that develops the fundamental infrastructure for intent-based private autonomous transactions, has also hired a number of high-profile figures.

Through real-time data streaming and analytical capabilities, the Openstory acquisition will improve Ava Protocol’s capacity to provide accurate and fast insights regarding EVM chain processes. The team at Ava Protocol believes that by using its strong autonomous transaction architecture, blockchain applications will be able to make better decisions and operate more efficiently.

Chris Li, CEO of Ava Protocol stated:

“Integrating Openstory’s exceptional real-time data streaming technology marks a significant milestone for Ava Protocol as we set about transforming blockchain automation. With this acquisition and the expansion of our already brilliant team, we will be better able to meet the industry’s growing demand for private, autonomous, and composable transaction solutions.”

Vinh Nguyen, the founder of Openstory, has joined Ava Protocol as a Systems Architect as part of its growth. Nguyen, a previous major contributor to InfluxData and Polkadot core developer, provides extensive expertise in developing cutting-edge data platforms, which will be crucial in propelling Ava Protocol’s innovation.

Nguyen stated:

“To say that I’m delighted to join Ava Protocol and excited to empower the future of blockchain automation would be an understatement. Ava Protocol’s vision for enabling private and composable autonomous transactions aligns with my own passion for leaving a lasting imprint on the web3 world.”

Ava Protocol has also strengthened its ranks with the addition of two more crucial appointments. Sam Shev joins as Head of Marketing, bringing with him over ten years of expertise from organizations including Google and Postman. His role will be to promote and foster the adoption of Ava Protocol’s vision.

Ava Protocol’s new Research and Content Lead is Scott Staton. He will concentrate on enlightening the industry about Ava Protocol’s goals, drawing from his editorial background at The New Yorker and Vice Media as well as his prior position overseeing content for the decentralized computing firm Dfinity.

Shev stated:

“I’m thrilled to join Ava Protocol, a trailblazer in decentralized automation, as Head of Marketing. The opportunity to contribute to a team that is revolutionizing the industry is truly inspiring. I am eager to collaborate with the brilliant minds at Ava Protocol and help shape a future where our work today becomes the foundation for tomorrow’s norms.”

Staton added:

“At Ava Protocol, we’re laying the groundwork for an autonomous future that’s private, composable, and on-chain. The team’s dedication to advancing blockchain technology is impressive, and I’m excited to help inform and engage the broader community on this vital work.”

Ava Protocol is leading the way in blockchain automation with its expanding ecosystem of over 30 dapp partners and a testnet handling 1,000 automated transactions per day across more than 10,000 distinct wallets. It recently revealed that a $10 million seed funding round has been completed, with support from notable investors such as Greylock, Foundation Capital, Electric Capital, and GSR.

The funds will be used to help it develop an Eigenlayer AVS that is intent-centric and will enable private autonomous transactions on Ethereum and beyond.
