UXLINK price has plunged sharply over the last 24 hours. UXLINK earlier reported a breach by a malicious actor who was able to gain access to the mint role. UXLINK has engaged PeckShield to assist in resolving the issue. Until then, the community has been advised to be careful with their engagement so as to prevent further losses.

UXLINK price is plunging uncontrollably. It is trading at $0.1130, down by 64.63% over the last 24 hours. The UXLINK price further reflects a decline of 66.66% during the last 7 days, and 66.99% over the last 30 days.

The 24-hour trading volume has surged by 1388.38% but the community has been advised not to engage at the moment. The warning has brought UXLINK trading to a halt for a while as multiple exchange platforms have reportedly frozen activities pertaining to UXLINK tokens.

PeckShield has raised an alarm, asking the crypto community not to interact with UXLINK tokens. The warning comes after a hacker gained access to the mint role. The malicious actor went on to mint 1 billion such tokens on Arbitrum. Thereby, damaging the principles of the Whitepaper of the UXLINK ecosystem.

PeckShield was engaged by the UXLINK community at a very early stage. PeckShield is currently tasked with undertaking investigations into the breach. Additionally, the blockchain security and data analytics company will strengthen efforts to recover the damage.

UXLINK has published a total of 3 updates at the time of writing this article. The first update was to inform that the community was closely working with major exchange platforms. UXLINK added that the action was swiftly taken and a large portion of the tokens was frozen.

The second update posted on X by UXLINK informed members that it had identified unauthorized minting of the tokens. It assured that the community was working to navigate the situation so that the token supply was compliant with the rules mentioned in the Whitepaper.

The final update by UXLINK informed that it had detected the unauthorized minting of the token, further stating that it will promptly initiate a token swap to ensure the integrity of its token economy. More details are expected to be announced on the official channels of UXLINK.

The incident comes days after UXLINK CEO Rolland announced candidacy for the 2032 Cameroonian Presidential election. Rolland now has 6 years to achieve his goal of “Cameroon2032.” As for the UXLINK token, it is recommended to follow its official communication channels only for relevant updates.
