Upland Partners with UNICEF to Promote Web3 Education in Brazil

Upland and UNICEF Brazil Collaborate to Promote Web3 Training and Education Programs for Brazil's Youth Blockchain News

A long-term collaboration between Upland and UNICEF Brazil was announced in order to create a new social initiative and the Web3 academy in order to satisfy the pressing need for more chances for young people to get education, training, and employment. Through this special collaboration, it will be possible to combine secondary education and training for thousands of Brazilians between the ages of 18 and 24. Participants will get the knowledge and abilities necessary to participate in the new virtual community-driven environment of virtual worlds.

Uplandme, Inc., the biggest metaverse platform linked to the real world, will have a holiday sale for its 3 million+ community members to buy special digital products for their virtual homes that are inspired by UNICEF and the holiday season as part of the collaboration launch. The revenues of the sale will be sent directly to UNICEF, with a portion of the money set aside specifically to help and finance UNICEF’s educational initiatives in Brazil.

Two UNICEF-branded buildings will be constructed on real estate in Rio de Janeiro for the Upland platform in order to produce the outdoor decor models that will be sold in the UNICEF Showroom, which fans may access digitally. These popular digital items, which were inspired by holiday gnomes, are used often by Upland users to personalize their residences. In time for the holidays, gamified experiences make the products a fun way to assist UNICEF and a simple web3 method to take part in fundraising for social causes.

“In the past four years, we have seen thousands of stories of Upland users realizing financial success because of their web3 knowledge,” says Idan Zuckerman, Co-Founder and Co-CEO of Upland. “In partnership with UNICEF, we’re excited to create an opportunity for Brazil’s youth to learn how to create the same opportunities for themselves through a multi-touch web3 experience showcasing fun, innovation, entrepreneurialism and community, as well as a real world academy to support them first hand.”

The One Million Opportunities (1MiO) project of UNICEF and Upland are responsible for curating the educational programme material. The (1MiO) programme, led by UNICEF Brazil, is a multisectoral collaboration between the corporate sector, governments, civil society, and youth that aims to provide vulnerable young people (aged 14 to 29) with prospects for professional training, employment, and income production. The students will get instruction in the following five competencies:

  • Foundation Skills: Basic knowledge of web3, blockchain technology, smart contracts, and the metaverse.
  • Job-Focused Skills: Finding possibilities in the metaverse economy and educating young people about new jobs and opportunities in the web3 sector.
  • Digital Skills: Students will learn how to operate in the Upland metaverse, mint real estate, and other digital assets, increase their net worth, finish collections, conquer challenges, and take part in community activities.
  • Entrepreneurial Skills: Students will learn how to construct their enterprises on top of the Upland metaverse by developing their meta-entrepreneurial skills.
  • Transferable Skills: Students will learn how to use their studies in real-world situations, including those linked to real estate, yield, staking, tokenization, and other web3-related subjects.

Upland may be played from anywhere in the globe and is freely downloadable on iOS, Android, and the web.
