UniX Launches Its Own Gaming Studio, With First Title To Be Built Using Unreal Engine

Editors News

The UniX Gaming guild has announced the launch of its official game development studio.

UniX said in a post on Medium that UniX Gaming Studios is led by its Chief Technology Officer Damir, who has a ton of experience developing top titles in the video gaming world such as Bygone Dreams, Castle Kong, Knights Ascendent, Path of Titans and Ragtag Adventurers. He’s not alone though as UniX Gaming Studios boasts a team of more than 20 Europe-based developers and programmers, including some with experience working on classic games such as Pacific Rim: Uprising, Ryse: Son of Rome and Scorn, to name just a few.

The addition of UniX Gaming Studios expands the horizons of UniX Gaming, which is already the largest “guild” within the play-to-earn NFT gaming space. Gaming guilds operate a unique business model, buying up hundreds of NFTs that are needed to access the top games in the P2E space, before lending them to promising gamers through a scholarship program. The rewards – profits – those scholars win are then split, with the guild and the player each receiving 50%.

One reason UniX stands apart from other P2E gaming guilds is its heavy focus on educational materials and training in eSports games, helping to prepare its players to maximize their potential and win more rewards that will then be reinvested into the guild.

Launching its own game development studio makes a lot of sense for UniX. Its ultimate ambition is to become more than just a guild – it wants to become an entire ecosystem within the NFT gaming space. To that end, it also has its own launchpad, enabling community members to invest in up and coming P2E games at the earliest stages and receive the tokens needed to access those games at the best possible price.

UniX Gaming Studios will be unique in the NFT gaming space through its reliance on the Unreal Engine development platform. Unreal Engine is said to be one of the most powerful real-time 3-D creation tools, providing a suite of features for developers who aim to deliver immense, visualization-rich virtual worlds. The developers at UniX Gaming Studios have unparalleled experience with Unreal Engine 5, the latest version of the software, building up a strong reputation as problem solvers among other users. UniX claims this expertise will enable its studio to develop some of the best games ever built on Unreal Engine.

UniX Gaming Studios already has its first P2E title in the works, more details of which will be revealed at a later date. It’s also said to be collaborating with The Sandbox to bring a unique, UniX-themed experience to the metaverse, where UniX will develop its own virtual land and help others to create unique experiences based on mini-games. In addition, the studio will also provide consulting services to other gaming studios.

“UniX aims to be the one-stop shop for all things gaming,” UniX said on Medium. “Creating a fully developed studio that assists creators in developing games is bringing us one stop closer to that goal.”
