Hong Kong is expected to roll out the wholesale CBDC settlement after banking hours by 2026. This plan will utilize the EnsembleTX, which will be used to facilitate continuous settlement for tokenized deposits. EnsembleTX makes up the pilot stage for Project Ensemble, which is the tokenization project for Hong Kong.
The Securities & Futures Commission of Hong Kong released the list of crypto exchanges that applied for trading licenses in the country. In the list, the Securities Regulator specified eleven exchanges that are deemed to be approved for licenses in the coming days. The list included leading exchanges Bullish, Crypto.com
