- Once again Shibarium lead developer changed his Twitter bio to alert the community.
- Shytoshi Kusama states Shibarium release won’t be an on/off switch.
While the ‘SHIB Army’ eagerly awaits the Layer-2 blockchain “Shibarium” upgrade, its lead developer Shytoshi Kusama once again updated his Twitter bio as “Smiling for our future. Solemn for those we lost”, with #condolences and tagged Shiba Swap developer. It may be an alert for the Shib community.
The Shibarium release date has been up for debate in recent months in the cryptocurrency industry. At the end of January, the Shiba Inu developer offered the SHIB community a hint by changing his Twitter bio. Stated, “Quickly learning to play the flute before putting Shibarium in a heart-shaped box with a bow”. That led several people in the ecosystem to predict that Shibarium might be launched on Valentine’s Day.
No Specific Date For Shibarium
However, the second largest meme cryptocurrency, Shiba Inu’s developer Shytoshi Kusama refused to mention any specific release date. Also, his current Twitter cover picture indicates that ‘stop for FUD about the upgrade’. But, yesterday Kusama teased the community by dropping a line “Wen Shibarium?” in response to January’s Tweet from Shiba Wings, which accepts SHIB as payment for meals.
Moreover, the prominent developer said “You want an exact date? No… I don’t have one because the release won’t be an on/off switch”, as per Garid’s tweet. Also, some ShibArmy members started pointing out the Shiba Swap, which is set to launch in April 2021 but they debuted it in July 2021 after missing the deadline.
Despite the Shib community’s hopes for a launch on February 14, the fact layer-2 solution failed to debut when the Shib Ecosystem was waiting. However, therefore the cryptocurrency community needs to wait for more since the rumored 14th of February just fading away.
