- The deadline for Pi Network users to complete KYC verification and Mainnet migration is March 14.
- Failure to do so may result in forfeiting a large portion of their Pi holdings.
The Pi Network has officially announced that its Grace Period for completing Know Your Customer (KYC) verification and Mainnet migration will end at 8:00 AM UTC on March 14, 2025.
The users who fail to meet this deadline risk forfeiting the majority of their Pi coin holdings, except for those mined within the last six months before migration, offering a limited safeguard for recent participants. Pi Network has emphasized that this is the final extension of the Grace Period.
The team clarified that no further extensions will be granted and unverified accounts will be excluded in the next phase of the project’s development. Moreover, as the deadline draws near, Pi Network users known as Pioneers, are raising concerns about the completion of the KYC and migration processes.
Several posts across social media platforms and the community forums report that thousands of users face persistent technical issues. It prevents them from verifying or transferring their Pi coins to the blockchain’s Mainnet.
Some users claim they have been stuck in verification loops, while others have delays and glitches in the Pi Network app. It makes the process difficult to complete. An estimated 80% of affected users have not been able to verify their balances. This ignited frustration and uncertainty within the community.
Potential Losses for Inactive or Unverified PI Network Accounts
The team has reaffirmed that users who do not complete both KYC and migration steps before the March 14 deadline will lose most of their previously mined Pi.
Furthermore, with the approaching of its sixth anniversary, the team considers this as a critical turning point. Along with this, the community is optimistic about a potential price surge of Pi Coin.
Over the past seven days, PI has lost 17% in value. Notably, in the last 24 hours, the asset has modestly gained over 2.84%. At press time, PI traded at $1.42. The lowest and highest traded prices are observed at $1.25 and $1.55, respectively.
