Ontology announced a collaboration with bloXmove, a B2B mobility blockchain platform, to accelerate decentralized credentials development. A fragmented infrastructure has evolved from the fast digitalization of transportation and the introduction of digital mobility apps allowing people to rent cars and bikes, book flights and trains, and more. As a result, consumers are increasingly asked to pass out sensitive data.

Decentralized Digital Identity Protocol

To address these issues, bloXmove will incorporate Ontology’s decentralized digital identity protocol (DID) into its platform. Giving users a decentralized identification that allows them to communicate verified credentials like driver’s licenses securely. It will also enable them to securely store a large number of IDs. Thus, allowing them to reuse them across numerous means of conveyance while maintaining privacy.

Li Jun, Founder of Ontology, said:

“The fragmentation of the urban transport industry means there is a great need to fortify user security and data through decentralized technologies. bloXmove is doing amazing work to streamline the user journey and now, by integrating Ontology’s DID and data solutions, the whole ecosystem will be made easier to navigate, more private, and more secure. Following on from our previous partnership with bloXmove incubator and Mercedes parent Daimler Mobility to develop Welcome Home, we are proud to be continuing to bring tangible use cases for blockchain and decentralized identity to the transport industry. We look forward to supporting bloXmove in creating the biggest global mobility alliance connecting bikes, scooters, car-sharing, trains, and more.”

Settlements may be automated and safeguarded using bloXmove’s BLXM token. Ontology will help generate tokens for bloXmove. Moreover, it will use Ontology’s access token smart contracts. bloXmove will also be able to communicate with other public blockchains. Thus, enhancing efficiency and cutting costs.
