A new Google Cloud Blockchain Assets team was launched on Thursday to help customers build, transact, store, and deploy new products on blockchain platforms.

The new Digital Assets Team at Google Cloud will work on a number of initiatives to help companies in the digital assets/blockchain industry.

The blog cites blockchain and distributed-ledger-based solutions such as Hedera, Theta Labs, and Dapper Labs as firms that have already implemented Google Cloud. It adds that the Digital Assets Team will conduct a variety of activities in the short and long term.

For developers, dedicated network hosting and remote procedure call (RPC) nodes are available. Select partners help with node certification and on-chain governance. Assisting developers and users with environmental, social, and governance efforts.

Several public BigQuery datasets are available on the Google Cloud Marketplace. Enabling co-development and integration with Google’s large partner network, working with Google Cloud ecosystem partners on go-to-market initiatives.

Moreover, Google Cloud is looking into the possibility of allowing its users to send and receive payments using Bitcoins in the future.

Piazza wrote, “We’re encouraged by our customers’ efforts in the digital asset space, and we’re eager to offer infrastructure and tools to support the possibilities of blockchain technologies in the future”.
