Meta Introduces Posting NFTs Feature on Facebook and Instagram

JPMorgan’ Analyst Changes Meta Rating From Neutral to Overweight NFT News
  • Users will only need to link their digital wallets once to each app.
  • Analysts have noticed that the firm is working on special animations for NFT posts.

On Monday, Meta announced that its users will be able to share NFTs on Facebook and Instagram. As part of a trial of digital collectibles, Meta is now letting a small group of US-based artists and collectors to post their own NFTs made or gained on Instagram.

Connecting a digital wallet, exchanging digital artifacts, and automatically marking the creator and collector are all part of this functionality. With this, over 3 billion people throughout the globe will have access to NFTs on both platforms. Digital collectibles may be shared on social media like Instagram and Facebook without incurring any costs, as per Meta.

NFT Outreach on the Rise

Users will only need to link their digital wallets once to each app to be able to trade virtual items across them. This further unites the two Meta applications in the metaverse, making it possible for users to share NFTs between them. By early 2022, Twitter has become one of the most prominent social media sites to accept NFTs.

App analysts have noticed that the firm is working on special animations for NFT posts and digital collectable collections, in addition to increasing support for presenting various digital collectibles. Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg had earlier this year announced that Meta will be working to make NFTs viewable in Instagram Stories and Spark AR compatible.

Meta is expanding its user base by offering tools that will allow users to show off their digital artefacts via postings, while other sites like Twitter and Reddit have concentrated on NFT-based avatars. The company’s goal is to allow crypto-natives to show their digital artwork on a more widely used platform by supporting all major blockchains and wallets.
