Glip, a Web3 Discovery & Wallet App Raises $2.5M, Records 7M Downloads Blockchain News

Glip, a company based in India that offers a global web3 game discovery and wallet app, raised $2.5 million in a round-headed by Hashed Emergent and included participation from Beenext and existing investor Prime Venture Partners.

Axie Infinity, League of Kingdoms, and KOF Arena from Netmarble are just a few of the web3 games that Glip has signed up for in an effort to increase user acquisition and retention. Glip is developing a dedicated distribution platform for web3 games as their quality, gameplay, and economy improve over time.

According to Tak Lee, Managing Partner of Hashed Emergent:

“At Hashed Emergent, we believe that the gaming industry will play a key role in onboarding the next billion users to Web3. Currently there are two major challenges in Web3 gaming – lack of distribution channels and complex user onboarding. The team at Glip has built a seamless platform to solve for both. We are impressed by the team’s agility, foresight and speed of execution, and are excited to partner with them on their journey to build the “Steam” equivalent for Web3 games.”

Currently, there are more than 2 million people using the Glip platform. Their base of operations may be in India, yet they serve clients all around the world. Decentralized communication and collaboration are at the heart of Web3 technology, and Glip’s super app for Web3 gaming is proof of this.

Glip has raised a total of $6 million from a number of investors. Its Seed A round included Prime Venture Partners, Better Capital, iSeed, and numerous angel investors. One million gamers were engaged in the initiative within the first three months because of the cutting-edge methods deployed.

Glip has become the most popular web3 app in India among gamers. More than seven million people in India, Southeast Asia, and Brazil have downloaded its smartphone app. With this app, players may search for and play new web3 games, get help from video guides, and join in on competitions and missions. As soon as users enter the app, they are provided with a social login, non-custodial, multi-chain, gas-free wallet.

India is a key market for the development of blockchain and cryptocurrencies. Many local exchanges and initiatives have achieved significant results over time. One such growing star is Glip, a popular Web3 game platform.

Parth Choudhary, CEO, and founder of Glip, adds:

“With $10B already deployed, web3 games are increasing rapidly and getting better by the day, but they are all struggling with user acquisition on web2 platforms. Our mission is to build the world’s largest web3 gamer platform.”

Ishan Shrivastava, Glip’s co-founder and chief operating officer, says:

“We have a pipeline of 100+ games across the world including top publishers. They are all excited by web3 adoption in emerging markets & will soon get a self-serve dashboard to run campaigns, get user feedback & analytics. Glip will soon cross 100K monthly active web3 gamers.”

Glip plans to use the $2.5 million in capital it has received from Hashed Emergent, Prime Venture Partners, and Beenext to hire more staff, provide new features to its platform, and increase its worldwide user base. Furthermore, Glip keeps its marketing budget at $0 in order to stay lean and advance the web3 gaming narrative.
