Due to the unfriendly atmosphere in the United States, the Winklevoss twins are considering establishing their crypto empire in the United Kingdom. The twins Tyler and Winklevoss, who founded the cryptocurrency exchange Gemini, recently stated that they had met with representatives from the Financial Conduct Authority and the Bank of England.
The siblings are now touring potential investment sites around the nation on behalf of Gemini. The Winklevoss twins told that it’s difficult to get anything done right now because of the regulatory climate in the United States.
Cameron Winklevoss stated:
“And so in order to keep building our business and invest in hiring, we have to look elsewhere.”
No Plans to Leave U.S
The co-founder of Gemini also said that they anticipate a day when their international workforce is greater than their domestic one and that they believe there to be a jurisdiction or country that maybe is larger than the US. The crypto billionaires have spoken openly about their desire to make significant investments in the UK.
Cameron Winklevoss added:
“Whether you want to call that a second headquarters or global headquarters, we very much are looking at places like the UK and understanding how do we invest more here.”
Despite experiencing rapid expansion outside the limits of the United States, the Winklevoss twins have no plans to leave the nation.
However, the twins did express some skepticism, citing a recent study from British legislators that equated the cryptocurrency industry to gambling as an example of the country’s contradictory stance on the industry.
