One of the most widely used Web3 applications worldwide, EasyA, has announced a series of significant milestones as they onboard blockchain developers into the Polkadot ecosystem. Nearly 1,000 developers attended EasyA’s two Polkadot hackathons this summer, and 111 startups were incubated. Now, these teams are looking to attract further investment to grow their enterprises, following in the footsteps of EasyA alumni who have established businesses valued at over $2.5 billion.

With the help of EasyA, developers can now acquire fundamental Web3 skills more easily than before, and they can use these abilities to create full-fledged companies at their renowned EasyA hackathons in the world’s most important cities. EasyA’s award-winning mobile app—which has garnered several accolades, including Apple’s App of the Day—makes it simpler for developers to get started with Web3 development, join active blockchain projects, and establish their own enterprises.

More than 400 developers were chosen to participate in the most recent EasyA x Polkadot hackathon in London, where 56 startups were launched. The event, which was a part of the #180DaysofPolkadot campaign, was one of many worldwide EasyA hackathons that highlight the prospects for developers in the rapidly expanding Polkadot ecosystem.

One of the winning startups from the London hackathon was able to bring Farcaster to Polkadot so that customers could create their own custom Farcaster frames. A startup,Another winner was Paxmata, a startup that uses onchain milestones to make it simpler for real estate developers to manage construction projects. Paperbaum, a bespoke parachain for efficient paper linking utilizing IPFS and NLP, authorship verification, and secure academic paper publishing, took third place. These winners are now raising funds from prestigious venture capitalists while maintaining the growth of their companies.

It was precisely one week later that EasyA held its second Polkadot hackathon of the summer at Harvard University, setting a number of further records. More than 300 carefully selected developers launched 55 games at the EasyA x Polkadot Harvard hackathon. The top teams also shared a $20,000 prize pool. Teams were given the challenge of using NFTs on Unique Network’s parachain and Polkadot to create race-car games. World-renowned INDY500 racer Conor Daly was called by EasyA to inspire the developers and demonstrate what goes into creating the perfect race-car game, in line with their racing theme.

Now, more than 100,000 developers have discovered Polkadot via the EasyA app, and this year alone, around 1,000 more have used EasyA x Polkadot hackathons to establish their firms. As a result, EasyA has enabled a record number of developers to join the market and raised Polkadot developer activity to all-time highs.
