Drunk Robots is the most intriguing

Altcoin News

With a community of over 50k people and the backing of such giants as Animoca Brands and Moonrock Capital, Drunk Robots is one of the most interesting IDO projects of the season. The token sale is coming to Liquidifty, GameFi, and TrustPad on April 7.

The robots are coming to town (and their guns are loaded)

When humans abandoned Los Machines, robots took over. They gather in gangs, scavenge for weapons, and drink like there’s no tomorrow. Every now and then, a violent battle breaks out, with chunks of metal flying in all directions.

This is the premise of Drunk Robots, a Play2Earn game that has received support from some of the leading companies in the blockchain space, including Animoca Brands (the owner of The Sandbox), Merit Circle and Good Games guilds, and the Gate.io exchange, as well as Shima Capital, Moonrock Capital, and DEX Ventures.

Drunk Robots combines AAA-grade graphics, exciting RPG-style gameplay, sophisticated economy, and, of course, robots – 10,101 unique NFTs, each with its own  rarity rank, weapons, and wearables. The original NFT collection sold out fast, but robots are available in the secondary market.

  • PvP battles: users battle each other and compete for the top rankings in the leaderboard. They get rewarded based on the results of each fight and of the season.
  • Scavenging: looking for containers with weapons and other loot.
  • Knockout: survive the shootout by destroying all the other robots around you.

Ahead of the IDO on April 7, Drunk Robots can boast an engaged community of 100,000 followers. The biggest gangs, such as Yakuza Warriors and Metal Heist, count over 1,000 robots each.

Introducing the $METAL token

The official token of Drunk Robots, $METAL, will be released on April 7 and run on Binance Smart Chain. Players will have many ways to earn and spend $METAL in-game:

  • Gaining access to exclusive battles and game modes
  • Leveling up robots’ equipment and battle skills;
  • Yield farming;
  • Buying and selling NFTs in the marketplace, and so forth (see detailed tokenomics).

The maximum total supply is 2,750,000,000 $METAL, out of which 30 million tokens are reserved for the public sale.

Drunk Robots already has an agreement with its partner Gate.io to list $METAL the day after the IDO. The token will also be listed on PancakeSwap.

One IDO, three launchpads

To make $METAL available to as many GameFi fans as possible, the creators Drunk Robots have decided to host the IDO on 3 launchpads on the same day (April 7), but at the same price ($0.01). The allocations are as follows:

  • Liquidifty: 5,000,000 $METAL
  • GameFi: 20,000,000 $METAL
  • TrustPad: 5,000,000 $METAL

Liquidifty

Liquidifty is a core partner of Drunk Robots; it maximizes the value of NFTs through innovative tools like collateralization, vaults, and cross-chain oracles.

Buyers need to wager a certain amount in LQT tokens to participate in the IDO lottery or get a guaranteed allocation of $METAL. Staked LQT aren’t spent during an IDO and can be used to access all subsequent token sales on Liquidifty.

GameFi

GameFi is one of the largest and best-known IDO platforms for gaming projects. For this reason, 20 million $METAL tokens were allocated for sale on this launchpad. Buyers need to get whitelisted and stake some GAFI tokens to get access to the lottery (20 GAFI = 1 ticket) or get a guaranteed personal allocation.

TrustPad

This platform is known for its hand-picked quality gaming IDOs. Buyers don’t need to pass a KYC, but they will need to stake at least 3,000 TPAD to access the lottery (more TPAD means a higher chance to win an allocation). Those who wager 15,000 will be guaranteed to get $METAL.

Drunk Robots’ unusual lore, funky humor, and backing by Animoca Brands and other majors make it one of the most exciting metaverse projects on the IDO calendar. Explore the project and try the games on the official website.
