Attackers are now circulating a phishing link disguised as a MANA token airdrop. This deceptive link redirects users to a fraudulent website, where they are prompted to connect their wallets to claim the airdrop. Unfortunately, this results in compromised funds shortly afterward.

PeckShield has issued a warning advising users to avoid interacting with the compromised Decentraland account. They recommend not clicking on the link or engaging with related posts. Users should wait for further announcements from Decentraland’s official social media to confirm the restoration of account security.

Rising Trend In Twitter Account Hacks

Luigi D’Onorio DeMeo, Chief Operating Officer of Ava Labs, recently had his Twitter account hacked. The breach became apparent through posts promoting a new Pokémon-themed memecoin allegedly associated with DeMeo. These posts, which have since been removed, contained dubious airdrop links. Additionally, the account disabled comments to prevent others from posting warnings about the scam, citing concerns over “malicious links” being shared in the comments section. Consequently, this type of social media breach is becoming increasingly common.
