Bitstamp cryptocurrency exchange is now officially registered by the French Financial Markets Authority. This made it identical to competitors Binance and Crypto.com, both of which had previously won approval from the regulator. Bitstamp has been recognized by a number of European nations already.
Bitstamp has been approved by France’s central bank, the Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF), to provide its services to customers in the country. The firm tweeted about territorial expansion, expressing excitement at the prospect.
Focusing on European Countries
The corporation, based in Luxembourg, has been busy over the last several months, securing licenses in numerous additional European countries. In July 2022, it became a registered Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP) in Italy, and in November 2022, it received authorization from Spanish authorities.
Binance, Bitpanda, and Crypto.com are some more cryptocurrency exchanges that are legal in France. In May of 2022, Binance became the first cryptocurrency exchange to officially incorporate in the European Union.
It’s been about a year since Bitstamp became a founding partner and the official cryptocurrency exchange for the American professional esports group Immortals. Building a connection between the gaming business and the digital asset sector is the primary focus of the latter.
