The cryptocurrency exchange Binance said on Monday that it will be opening a new regional center in Georgia. This is in line with its effort to increase talent acquisition, promote blockchain education, and speed up cryptocurrency adoption in Eastern Europe and Western Asia area.
After announcing a series of strategic collaborations, initiatives, and community events in crypto-friendly Georgia. Binance has made the decision to make the move.
On March 27th, Binance made the announcement on its official blog about the move. The exchange has promised to significantly increase employment in Georgia via recruitment and hiring. As well as to support local educational efforts and the growth of the cryptocurrency industry.
Strategic Location Crucial For Binance
Georgia is the most crucial nation for Binance because of its central position between Europe and Asia. Also due to its crypto-friendly regulations and norms, and its innovative spirit. The exchange has continued its offshore development. Despite its criticism of the U.S. regulatory crackdown on cryptocurrencies and authorities’ resistance to the Voyager-Binance.US agreement.
Vladimir Smerkis, Binance’s regional director stated:
“For Binance, Georgia is an important point on our map. To date, we have held three community meetups here, with more than 2,000 people attending in total. We see a huge potential and interest, both from the crypto community and businesses, in the development of digital assets in the country.”
