Cardano’s Charles Hoskinson just dropped some major news about teaming up with the XRP community. In a recent AMA, he said he’s been chatting with Ripple’s CEO, Brad Garlinghouse. And thinks it’d be a blast to work together before 2025 wraps up. This comes right after the Midnight airdrop, which has been a hit and included XRP holders among those cashing in.
XRP Tie-Up and Airdrop Report
Hoskinson shared that Cardano’s Lace wallet will start supporting XRP before the year’s out, making it easier for folks to hold XRP on Cardano’s platform. He’s also pumped about the idea of a joint event with XRP heavyweights, like pro crypto lawyer John Deaton, to bring the communities closer.
Deaton jumped on X to say he’d be thrilled to join Hoskinson and other crypto big shots at such an event. The Midnight airdrop, a major Cardano project, has already seen 1.6 billion NIGHT tokens claimed. And Hoskinson says it might be one of the biggest airdrops ever.
It’s open to holders of ADA, BTC, ETH, XRP, SOL, BNB, AVAX, and BAT, showing Cardano’s effort to connect with other blockchains. Hoskinson also shut down allegations about insiders rigging the airdrop, saying it’s going great and there’s no truth to the gossip.
XRP community member BankXRP cheered the collaboration talk, saying it could bring about new ideas, beef up security. And build trust across crypto. He added he’d love to see ADA pop up in more wallets too. This potential Cardano-XRP partnership could shake things up and bring both projects closer together.
