In a significant step toward its long-term commitment to the Indian market, Bybit, the second-largest cryptocurrency exchange in the world by trading volume, has fully restored access to its Bybit app on the App Store and Google Play for customers in India.
In the meanwhile, Bybit website access is gradually being restored, with full availability anticipated in the next three to four days. This follows a broader attempt to harmonize regulations and reflects Bybit’s commitment to security, transparency, and trust for its growing number of Indian customers.
In January 2025, Bybit filed as a reporting company with the Financial Intelligence Unit-India (FIU-IND), starting the regulatory procedure in the first few months of the year. This made sure that all of its operations complied with the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) of India. By doing this, Bybit has reopened and is now offering Indian clients a variety of services including Spot, Derivatives, Options, and Copy Trading along with strong Know Your Customer (KYC) protocols and enhanced security measures.
On February 25, 2025, operations were first resumed, allowing authorized users to access all trading features. However, it took considerable engagement with authorities to properly bring the website and app’s full functioning online.

Bybit increased its reach by becoming the Title Sponsor of the India Blockchain Tour 2025, which began on June 28 in Hyderabad. On September 27 and 28, the Metamorphosis – India Blockchain Tour will make its next stop in New Delhi.
