In the 19th batch of the LUNC burn mechanism, crypto exchange Binance, burnt 2.21 billion Terra Luna Classic (LUNC) tokens. This brings the total number of tokens burnt by the Terra Luna Classic community to over 102 billion, while the net burn by the crypto exchange reaches over 53 billion.

As part of a coordinated effort to remove LUNC tokens, the Terra Luna Classic community celebrated the 100 billion LUNC milestone with increased optimism and confidence. In accordance with the March 1st transaction, Binance delivered 2.21 billion LUNC tokens to the burn address.

Noteworthy Milestone

From January 31st to February 28th, Binance burnt more than $270 million worth of trading fees using the 19th batch of the LUNC burn mechanism. As of the most recent burn, the total number of Terra Classic tokens burned by Binance for LUNC spot and margin trading fees has reached 53.48 billion.

The overall burn for the Terra Luna Classic burn campaign is over 102 billion, making it a noteworthy milestone. Every week, the crypto community as a whole, burns an average of over 400 million LUNC. This includes exchanges, validators, projects, and individuals.

Terra Luna Classic’s community developers are hard at work on critical chain enhancements that may set the Classic ecosystem’s tokens, USTC and LUNC, on a massive utility path and drive their values to new heights.
