Binance has launched the much-awaited NFT trading platform through the Binance exchange itself. It will be functioning as an attribute of Binance specifically towards trading and pricing of various NFTs.
The Announcement
The news has been around for a long time, and many were eagerly looking forward to it. Non-Fungible tokens have seen a major rise in recent times. Yet, there were always constraints on how to acquire them. Many cryptocurrency exchanges did not support NFTs. Furthermore, each NFT had its own way of acquiring and holding it. In addition, such diverse means to procure NFTs made it extremely hard for trading purposes too.
Binance has long back stated its plans to introduce NFTs into its trading platform. Thus, breaking all the barriers for NFTs easy market. Accordingly, the CEO of Binance, Changpeng Zhao, also known as ‘CZ’ announced officially launch of the Binance NFT marketplace. A trading platform solely for NFTs. CZ Binance made this announcement official through his tweet on Thursday.
Offerings on Binance NFT
The official Binance page too tweeted a few minutes prior to CZ Binance’s tweet. Accordingly, it too announced the launch live of the Binance NFT marketplace. The Binance NFT marketplace will feature NFTs upon works of Andy Warhol and Salvador Dali.
Also, the time of launch was exactly at 10.00 am, local time in Singapore. The trading started instantly without any further delay. In addition, it depicted the very first auction event ‘The Genesis Auction’ which is set to feature artworks of Warhol, ‘The Three self-portraits’, and also works of Dali -‘Divine Comedy: rebeget’. Moreover, in Dali’s works, certain revamps have been made to feature the Bitcoin (BTC) symbol, CZ Binance’s signature ‘CZ’ along with the Binance logo altogether. All these special attributes will be visible only by zooming further in. However, this event is said to last only for a period of 5 days.
Binance NFT will be operating on the Binance platform based on the Ethereum blockchain and Binance Smart network. Traders could also facilitate the use of their Binance crypto wallets to procure NFTs on Binance NFT too.
