  • Animoca Brands recorded a revenue of $314 million in the last year.
  • Digital Asset Advisory (DAA) business recorded a large amount of $165 million in revenue.

Animoca Brands published a report detailing its revenue statistics for the last year. For FY2024 and Q4 2024, the firm recorded significant growth, and its co-founder Yat Siu expects the same in 2025. Even though several business units of teh firm, such as Moca Network, The Sandbox, and others, recorded substantial growth, its advisory services remain on top.

The firm recorded a total $314 million review for the entire 2024, while this number was $218 million for 2023. Out of its 3 major businesses, Digital Asset Advisory (DAA) business unit recorded the highest revenue of $165 million, with a 116% year-on-year growth. While Web3 operating businesses brought in $110 million, investment activity recorded $39 million.

Animoca Brands Revenue Soared With a Cut Down on Operating Expenses

While the revenue of Animoca Brands increased with an overall balance sheet, it witnessed a drop in private investment holdings. While this section recorded $564 million in 2024, it was $690 million in 2023.

The overall operating expenses of the firm recorded a 15% year-over-year decrease in 2024. It spent $58 million in Q4 2023 for this section, but Q4 2024 operating costs were only $49 million. Thus, the decrease in operating expenses played a critical role in increasing overall revenue.

Despite the decrease in private investment holdings, Animoca Brands portfolio investments number increased from 450 to 540. With a friendly regulatory environment for crypto in the US, we might witness continued growth of firm’s revenue this year as well. Despite the dull market performance of crypto except for Q4 2024, Animoca Brands strengthened its balance sheet in 2024.
