A significant fact is that crypto exchanges are being hacked with quite a few breaks but it has been a rotational process. Some exchanges have been hacked and the assets of the users have also been stolen. Traversing that, social media hacking has also become a common trend while it is easy to crack on the other hand.
Similarly, a Russian crypto exchange LATOKEN’s Twitter account is being hacked and posted a tweet claiming it as a SCAM exchange. An aggrieved employer of the exchange has chopped the account and affirmed it as a fraud. According to the tweet, it claims that the exchange promotes “scam IEO’s ” and cheats their employees.
WARNING – THIS IS A SCAM EXCHANGE
— LATOKEN (@latokens) January 24, 2022
They are promoting scam IEOs.
They are promoting IEOs promising growth of 100% to 500%.
They are cheating and lying to founders and employees.
They are misleading founders to think they will have successful IEOs while it never happens.
The tweet also mentions that the exchange misleads the customers and pretends to have successful IEOs. In fact, the profile picture of the exchange is also changed with a warning image and a graphic image of ‘SCAM’. Moreover, the bio of the LATOKEN Twitter account displays as “LATOKEN is the leading SCAM platform”.
LATOKEN Fires Employees For No Reason
As per the hacker, the exchanges fires employees for no reason and treat them unevenly. The hacker blames that the exchange does not deliver a successful IEO but promises growth of 100% to 500%. Besides, the bio of twitter holds more highlighting that the platform is “deliberately trying to scam money out of projects”.
The affirmation doesn’t end here, the product of LATOKEN’s account has also been hacked and posted a video of LATOKEN’s CEO, Valentin Prebrazhensky. The hacker claims the CEO as a “liar” while the video plays the clip of a meeting. The Twitter account of LADEX, a DEX project of LATOKEN, also got into the trap of hackers. The clip is a meeting where the CEO yells, curses at someone in the call.
Furthermore, responding to this incident, Latoken’s official Telegram account has posted an update about this hack. The platform mentions that the affirmation is from some “aggrieved employee” and they will take legal actions against the perpetrator. Significantly, the exchange is in touch with the Twitter support team and the issue will be soon fixed.
Hacking and scamming isn’t a new topic in the crypto industry, this has been a continuous process. Several YouTubers and exchanges have faced a series of hacks. Even prominent and popular influencers’ Twitter accounts have also been hacked while some are Bitboy Crypto, Ivan on Tech, Box Mining, and more. Fortunately, several users have been able to retrieve and delete the strange content.
