190 Binance Accounts Seized by Israel on Suspicion of Terrorism

Israeli authorities have seized over 190 Binance crypto accounts connected to terrorist organizations since 2021. It mentioned a report from Israel’s National Bureau for Counter Terror Financing (NBCTF) that showed two accounts connected to ISIS that had been confiscated to “thwart the activity” of terrorist organizations.

These records state that in January, the NBCTF seized an undisclosed sum of cryptocurrency from two accounts believed to have connections to the terrorist organization Daesh, which has bases in Syria and Iraq. 

More than 100 of the seized Binance accounts are said to have connections to Hamas, an armed Palestinian organization that frequently engages in conflict with the Israeli Defence Forces, according to other government documents dating as far back as 2021. The value of the crypto that was confiscated and the way the accounts were related to Islamic State were not disclosed in the NBCTF document.
